Doug Hanna

Pastor Doug grew up in Winchester Kentucky and moved to Columbus in 1986 to attend college. When Doug visited Sharon Woods Church on Palm Sunday in 1998, his life was a mess. 

He heard the Gospel message and began a spiritual journey trying to sort out what God’s purpose was for his life. In the summer of 1999, at the age of 31, Doug became a follower of Jesus and was “all in”. God has created us all to know Him and be known by Him. 

Over the past twenty-five years, Doug has served at Sharon Woods Church as a community group leader, deacon, missions director, member of properties committee and in many other ways. He has had the privilege of going on mission trips to Chicago, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, East Cleveland, China, India, Kenya, and Indonesia. 

Doug is passionate about equipping God’s people to live their lives in community and on mission for Jesus - in their homes, neighborhoods, and the world. 

On January 1, 2019, Doug joined the staff as an associate pastor. The Sharon Woods family called Pastor Doug as lead Pastor January 1, 2022.

He is married to the love of his life, Corrine. They have four children - two adult daughters and two boys (a high schooler and one in junior high).
